Founder of The Genie Method
As a qualified GCSE English teacher, Head of Department and former examiner, I bring over 15 years of classroom experience, alongside a strong track record of helping students achieve top grades in both English Language and Literature. My teaching is rooted in a clear understanding of what examiners are looking for, allowing students to develop the skills needed to succeed with confidence.
What sets my teaching apart is not just subject knowledge, but a structured approach that focuses on how students think, not just what they write. Through my Genie Method, students learn how to develop ideas, structure their responses effectively, and move beyond basic answers to reach the higher grades.
I specialise in small group masterclasses, where students benefit from exposure to a range of ideas and interpretations - something that is difficult to replicate in traditional 1:1 tutoring. This collaborative approach allows students to refine their thinking and produce more sophisticated responses. My sessions are designed to be focused, supportive and purposeful, giving students the clarity, confidence and control they need to succeed in their exams.

GCSE English Masterclass Programme
A series of structured GCSE English masterclasses designed to support students at all stages - from those preparing early for GCSE success to those aiming to improve their grade through resits.
Suitable for students in Years 7-11 and resit learners, with content carefully tailored to develop the skills required for GCSE success.
These are small group sessions (max 6 students), designed to provide focused teaching, clear structure and exposure to a range of interpretations - all essential for success in English.
